Hello friends, I worked with Infosys BPO for 12 months. That was nice experience. Working in night shifts never worried me nor it created any health issues for me. But leaving Infosys was not a pleasant experience for me. Infosys generally clears all your dues in 45-90 days but can you guess how much it took for me? More than worst, 6 months, almost. I was busy with my college so I couldn’t look into this matter for first few months, then I thought why the infy is not paying me my hard earned money which I earned by working in nights when rest of world was taking their sound sleep.

I gave my 30 days notice to Infosys, before I left the company. This is rule, you have to serve 30 days notice before you leave company, I followed it. I didn’t abscond like others do. On the last day of work I was told that the dues will get cleared by 45 days. So I didn’t worried about salary for first few days. I filled up form to claim my PF (Provident Fund). That was a easy procedure but takes a longer time. The PF gets deposited into your salary account electronically.

I waited for my salary for more than 3 months, and then went my first call to Infosys BPO. The answer was give me your employee ID, the issue will get resolved soon. I trusted, waited for few more days (Weeks). Nothing happened, even no one called me to update on the issue. It was me again calling to company, then I was told that a lady in the office will take care of the issue and she will resolve it. Still the same nothing happened. I was calling them again and again, same question but the answers were different every time. This time they told me that issue is with Bangalore finance dept. Surprisingly, she told me to call Bangalore and talk there. Surprised, because why would I call Bangalore when I worked in Pune campus. And is this my responsibility to call here and there to resolve the issue?

Now it was my strong thinking that they are not serious to resolve my issue. Because they never called me back as per promise. And I was trained, never forget your call backs.

So I took out the first weapon from my bag. I published my entire experience with Infosys BPO on my blog with their name and phone numbers (not this one). As per my knowledge some people also called them on cell and asked why is this happening. Then my father came into picture and he told Mr. Finance head, “If issue won’t get resolved now, the story will get published in Economic Times.” My blog and this thing made a big difference, the system started working that too speedy. And on the third day my salary was deposited in my account. This how Infosys BPO worked for my issue, taking almost 6 months and making me to dare them to go to media.

If you have left company or plans to leave it, take this very seriously. Call them again and again if your salary doesn’t get deposited in time. There may be many people who get their salary in time, but for me this was really a sad story.
